Proceedings
The proceedings for CogSci 2009 will not be distributed on CD, but can be downloaded from the following two servers:
North America: http://csjarchive.cogsci.rpi.edu/Proceedings/2009/
Europe: http://www-abc.mpib-berlin.mpg.de/CogSci09/
Program & Recommender System:
The program is available here. To aid you in choosing which sessions to attend, we developed a recommender system which, on the basis of keywords and/or a so-called ris-file, can automatically recommend the sessions you will probably be most interested in. The system can be found here, please see the 'howto' section there for more information.
Erratum to program booklet:
In "program at a glance" on pages 2-3, the "Cognitive and neural foundations of concepts" symposium should be listed for Thursday 10:10-11:30, and the "Visual reasoning in modeling and design" symposium should be listed for Saturday 10:10-11:30, both in room 10A-00. They are listed correctly in the extended program on pages 18-25.
Presentation details:
Talks
Each talk is allotted 20 minutes, which includes time for questions and changing speakers. We recommend that you plan on speaking for 15 minutes, leaving 5 minutes for questions and change of speaker. Each room has a video projector with standard VGA input. The last speaker in each session has been assigned the role of session chair. The duty of the sessions chair is to announce each speaker and to keep track of time. We will provide signs that indicate how much time a speaker has left.
Posters
The size of the poster boards is 1.25 meter (4.1 ft) width and 1 meter (3.3 ft) height. Although the height is somewhat flexible (the poster can stick out), the width is not. Material (velcro) to attach the poster to the poster boards will be provided: push pins cannot be used. Posters can be put up after 13:50, and have to be removed at the end of the poster session.
