Hotel Reservations
Discounted hotel rooms can be booked through the Amsterdam RAI Hotel & Travel Service. Their online reservation system allows you to search for hotels by star rating and area, view a map showing the location in relation to the Free University Amsterdam, and find detailed information about each hotel. Alternatively, forms to make a reservation by email or fax can be found below. For group bookings and tailor-made advice you can contact them by email. Discounted rooms at the official hotels are limited, so don't delay as the demand for rooms in Amsterdam will be high during the conference.

The Amsterdam RAI Hotel & Travel service can also assist you with booking flights, car rentals, excursions, bike rentals, and dinner reservations.
Travel Visa
The Cognitive Science Society will provide letters of invitation to accepted paper/poster authors and presenters only, and when needed.
Information about whether you need a visa for your country, and how to apply for them, can be found on the Dutch Embassy's website of your country. All embassy websites can be found via this site.

The easiest way to travel from Schiphol airport to the conference venue is to take the train to station Amsterdam Zuid. Trains leave about every 10 minutes, the ride takes about 8 minutes. From there onwards, you can follow the directions given here on the site of VU. Please note that due to construction works tram 51 is not running.
