Conference Venue and Host Hotel
The CogSci 2011 Conference will be held at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. It is an elegant, historic hotel in the heart of Boston. We have negotiated reduced rates with the hotel, available at the links below. The Park Plaza is both the conference venue and the host hotel - there is no more convenient place to stay for this year's conference. Please note that sharing rooms is allowed and encouraged, although finding roommates is the responsibility of the individual attendee.
New links to make a room reservation with the Boston Park Plaza are posted below:
There are three categories of reservation: Standard, Student, and Government. Please use the link that is appropriate and type in the code in your particular case.
Standard Reservation Page (code: CSS) (most CogSci attendees should use this link)
Student Reservation Page (code: SSS) (undergraduate or graduate students only)
Government Reservation Page (code: GSS) (U.S. Government employees only)
If at all possible, please book your room at the Park Plaza for CogSci 2011. If we do not meet our room block requirement we pay large penalties to the hotels - the Society has to pay the difference between our guarantee and the actual bookings. We go to great lengths to keep expenses and registration fees as low as reasonable, while still providing a high quality annual event for our cognitive science community. If we fail to fill our room block at the Park Plaza, it will negatively impact our negotiating power with future conference venues and will likely result in increases in future registration fees in order to recoup the financial penalties.
Please help us all avoid the negative consequences of not meeting this year's room block by choosing to stay at the conference hotel. Reservations should be made before July 1 to take advantage of the reduced rates in our room block. Of course, we recommend making your reservation long before then.
