    Help shape the future of the Cognitive Science Society and apply to be a member of the Student Committee!

    The Student Committee is a representative body for the student members of the Cognitive Science Society (CSS). In collaboration with the CSS Governing Board, Executive Officer, and various other committees, the committee’s primary objectives are to:

    • Develop strategies for student engagement, active participation, and recognition in CSS activities, including the annual conference.
    • Equip committee members with the necessary skills for sustained future engagement and leadership roles within the Society.
    • Represent and advocate for student interests within the Governing Board.

    The committee will be comprised of:

    • Chair (CSS Graduate Student Representative: Salih Ozdemir)
    • Up to 4 members-at-large

    The committee will meet on a quarterly basis and additionally as needed.

    To be eligible, a candidate must be:

    • A current member of the Cognitive Science Society (we offer Pay What You Can membership),
    • Enrolled in a PhD program or enrolled in a Masters program with the expectation of continuing to a PhD (no restrictions on geographic location).
